There is no download, no browser extension, no plugin, and — in English — no account. If the network you are on lets you open websites at all, it will load.

What works on a filtered network

  • The whole English game, with no account and no limit on rounds.
  • The 5 starter beats. They are audio files served from rhymefor.fun itself, not from YouTube, so they play even where YouTube is blocked.
  • Learn and Rhymes — the seven lessons, the drills and the browsable rhyme sets are plain pages.

What will not

  • Custom beats. Bringing your own beat (a Pro feature — see pricing) streams the track from YouTube. If youtube.com is blocked where you are, those beats will not play; the starter beats still will.
  • Anything, if sound is off. The game is a beat and a bouncing ball; a machine with audio disabled by policy cannot play it.

What you need

  • Headphones. You will be rhyming out loud to a beat; a library or a classroom will thank you.
  • Any current browser — Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, on a Chromebook, laptop, tablet or phone.
  • A spacebar or a thumb: Space or a tap moves you to the next bar.

How to start in twenty seconds

  2. Choose Play, keep the language on English, and pick one of the starter beats.
  3. Put your headphones on, press play, and land the first rhyme on the beat.

If it is still blocked

Then the network you are on blocks it by rule, and that is the network’s decision to make, not ours. We do not offer ways around a filter.
